Starting to write
"The best way to figure out what you think is to try to write it down." -- said by someone much smarter than me.
This is the first thing I'm putting here.
Over the last few years, I've spent a lot of time building things: an RL agent that plays pool, an AI tutor used in schools, Joygram, and a bunch of smaller projects along the way.
However, I never wrote down what I was thinking or learning when building this stuff.
That was definitely a mistake. So this is my attempt to start now and to keep a record of that.
I want this to be a small corner of the internet where I can share what I'm working on, what I'm learning, and whatever else feels worth writing down.
What to expect
For now, most of my writing will be about a research project I'm working on around dysarthric speech.
The goal is to build software that can make slurred or hard-to-understand speech easier to understand, especially for people with dysarthria.
I'm still early, but I'm excited about the problem and I'll try to share progress as I go.
More soon. ๐
